so KXFS and KNRH were 2 stations in south and north dakota.
KXFS first signed on in 1972 while KNRH signed on in 1954 and was eventually bought out by CBN.
one day the Forks Broadcasting Company hit up CBN with an idea, to merge both KXFS and KNRH into a statewide network.
now this would be the first time that CBN ever tried this, they pondered on it for a while till June 4th, 2007.
on that day "Dakota CBN" would be made and on June 16th, translators would start to be built all over the dakotas.
